The Future in Keswick's Development

The Town of
Georgina is directing the majority of its future urban growth to Keswick. Within
Keswick, a significant portion of the lands abutting the west side of Woodbine
Avenue, west of the planned Highway 404 extension, are designated
Commercial/Employment Area.
The Town is
proposing to develop a Business Park comprised of approximately 235 ha of
land with a potential to provide between 6,500 to 7,500 new jobs.
Highway 404 which is located just
15 minutes from the southern border of Georgina, provides direct access via the
Don Valley Parkway to downtown
Toronto, which is less than an
hour from Keswick.
The northerly extension of
Highway 404 is now underway and is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
This extension of Hwy. 404 to the
southerly limit of Georgina will
provide Georgina easy access to Canada's largest market, the
GTA.
