For 167 years, the Sutton Fair & Horse Show has been a beloved tradition, celebrating the vibrant agricultural history of our community. Hosted by the dedicated volunteers of the Sutton Agricultural Society, this annual event offers a blend of old-fashioned charm and modern excitement.

A Rich History

The Sutton Agricultural Society, backed by a Board of Directors and a Junior Committee, ensures that the fair remains a community-focused event. It showcases a diverse range of exhibits, from vegetables and field crops to photography, culinary arts, and crafts. The fair is a testament to the talent and dedication of our local community members.

Thrilling Events and Attractions

Each year, the Sutton Fair & Horse Show presents an array of events designed to entertain and engage visitors of all ages:

- Tractor Pull Thursday: Witness the power and skill in this classic event.

- Demo Derby Saturday: Cheer for your favourite vehicle in this crowd-pleasing demolition event.

- Global Pet Foods Superdogs (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): Enjoy incredible canine performances that will amaze and delight.

In addition to these thrilling spectacles, the fair features petting zoos, competition classes, and numerous attractions for everyone. From the Ambassador Program and Georgina Idol to the Baby Show and Midway, there’s always something new and exciting to enjoy.

A Celebration of Agriculture

The Sutton Fair & Horse Show is deeply rooted in agricultural traditions. Supported by the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS), local farmers, sponsors, and volunteers, the fair continues to highlight the importance of agriculture in our lives. It remains a proud platform for farmers to showcase their best crops and livestock, preserving a heritage that dates back to the founding of our country.

Whether you're interested in antiques, fine arts, crafts, culinary and flower exhibits, or the Beer Garden, there’s something for everyone at the Sutton Fair. Additional attractions include sheep shearing, commercial vendors, a Kid’s Fun Tent, livestock display, vintage equipment demonstrations, Zoo to You (Friday-Sunday), photography, field crops and vegetables, kids foam party, needlepoint, vegetables, canning, photography, flower exhibits, and the Livestock Education Building.
